The first Rally Around Downtown was held in the Downtown Event Plaza on Thursday night. Close to 100 residents gathered on the Marshall County Courthouse lawn to show their support of the community, the Marshalltown Community School District and watch hard-working students show their skills in the community pep rally.
Cheerleaders, band members and dancers displayed their school spirit at the event hosted by the Marshalltown Central Business District.
