A drive-by shooting that occurred in the early hours of last Friday, Sept. 18 in Toledo is determined to be an isolated incident. Toledo Police Department officers were dispatched at 5:09 a.m. to a report of multiple gunshots being fired in Toledo. The officers found that a residence located in the 800 block of South Main Street had been hit by several bullets. Evidence was collected, and the investigation is ongoing. There has yet to be an arrest in this case, but it is determined to be an isolated incident, and there is no danger to the public.
The Toledo Police Department was assisted by other local agencies, including the Tama County Sheriff's Office, Marshalltown Police Department, and the Tama 911 Communication Center.
