Joan Kay (Knights) Miller
Joan Kay (Knights) Miller, of Indianola, IA, who died February 28, 2018, was born January 1, 1943, to Frank Gilbert Knights and Helen Doreen (Koehler) Knights in Marshall County, IA, where she attended Green Mountain School and graduated from Beaman Conrad High School with the class of ’60. She was an alumni of Evangelical Deaconess Hospital Nursing School in Marshalltown, IA. In June 1963, she married Stephen Douglas Miller, of Marshalltown. While Joni enjoyed many different career opportunities throughout her professional working years, and gave lovingly of herself to her church and community, her greatest joy in life was her beloved family.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Miller; two sisters, Marlys (Dwayne) Garber, of Conrad, IA, Cathy (Steve) Harmon, of Mannford, OK; children, Denette (Kurt) Lickiss, of Indianola, Jeff (Jennifer) Miller, of Grimes, IA, Deb (Ron) Paskorz, of Indianola, James (Razan) Miller, of Gilbert, AZ; 15 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
