Funeral services for Richard “Dick” D. Thorson, 83, were held at 2 p.m., Monday, July 2, 2018, at Anderson Funeral Homes, Marshalltown, IA. Rev. Ed Hannahs officiated the service with special music provided by Jan Randall.
Casket bearers were Kaleb Carney, Aaron Jensen, Ben Walters, Jason Walters, Matt Nicolaisen, Brandon Mann, Charlie Mann, David Walters, Augustine, Brennan, Cameron and Carter.
Honorary bearers were Melissa Carney, Jennifer Jensen Wallach, Candi Nicolaisen, Jamie Jensen, Emma Mann, Addison, Chloe, Ellie, Kendall, Lucy and Macy.
Groups in attendance included Laurel Lions and Marshalltown “Noon” Kiwanis.
Interment was at Miller Cemetery in Union, IA.
