Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 8, 2018, at the funeral home as well. Memorials may be directed to the family. Phyllis Louise Sinclair was born on November 24, 1946, in Marshalltown, Iowa the daughter of Neil Laverne and Maxine (Whitmore) Sinclair. She attended LDF Community School and graduated in the class of 1964.

On April 2, 1966, Phyllis was united in marriage to Ralph Stanley Jr. at the Methodist Church in Marshalltown. They lived in rural Marshalltown where Phyllis was employed at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Phyllis was a member of the First Friends Church in Marshalltown. She enjoyed reading, camping, animal watching, fishing, spending time with her grandsons and watching them in all of their activities. Phyllis loved to travel and especially enjoyed her fishing trips to Canada.

Left to cherish Phyllis’ memory is her loving husband of 53 years, Ralph; daughter, Leanne (Davin) Kruse, of Conrad, Iowa and son, Jamey Stanley, of rural Marshalltown, Iowa; grandsons, Rusty and Koty Kruse; sister Sheryll (Jim) Frederick, of Montezuma, Iowa and her fluffy companion Gizmo.

In death Phyllis rejoins her parents, Laverne and Maxine Sinclair; brother, Laverne and sister, Joleen Vajgrt.
