Max Edward Nelson, Sr., 90, of Marshalltown, passed away Thursday morning, May 7, 2020, at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Haverhill. A visitation will take place Tuesday, May 12th from 5-7 PM at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Because a visitation is considered a social gathering, we must follow the guidelines of no more than 10 people gathered at a time and will accommodate this by rotating people as they come.
