Shirley Eash, 85

Beloved mother and sister, Shirley Eash, 85, of Marshalltown, IA, passed away on Tuesday, May 19th at Westbrook Acres in Gladbrook due to complications from COVID-19.

Shirley Diane Love was born in Marshalltown on November 19, 1934, to parents Floyd W. and Elizabeth (McReynolds) Love. She graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1952. Shirley was united in marriage to Dale Eash Sr. April 18th, 1953. She worked at Marshalltown Manor for 13 years, followed by working as an E.R. Tech at Grinnell Regional Medical Center for over 30 years.

Shirley loved her family. She was always working hard, both inside and outside of the home to provide for her husband and seven children. Shirley and Dale were married 35 years before his passing in 1988.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Sandy D. Love, Peggy (Terry) Schoenhut, Cherlyn (Brian) Mathes, Randy Eash, Tammy Papiboune (Terron) and Brett (Kim) Eash; her siblings Floyd Love, William “Bill” (Donna) Love, Bob (Randi) Love and Betty (Ken) Dahms and her 16 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Dale Sr.; her son, Dale Eash Jr.; her father Floyd; her mother, Elizabeth; her step-father Lee Edward Crippen and sister-in-law Pat Love.
