Joyce loved playing cribbage with friends, traveling to visit family, reading books, playing the piano, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. From being a music mother who worked concessions to being a Brownie leader and going to day camp; playing piano at church and leading bible study at the nursing home and ladies groups, she led by example with love and purpose.

Joyce is survived by her three children; Kenneth (Betty) Dahms of Gladbrook, IA, Kirk Dahms of Gladbrook, IA, Jayne (David) Heath of Alexandria, LA; four grandchildren: Molly Dahms, Abby Dahms, Riley Dahms, Allison Heath; five great-grandchildren: Danyelle Foos, Jakob Foos, Drake, Jasmin, and Tylin Tervin; three great-great grandchildren; Elijah Barnes and Kinsley Hoffert.
