Alfred Hubert Marshall V, 73
On Sunday, December 27, 2020, Alfred Hubert Marshall V, loving husband and father of two children, passed away at the age of 73. Alfred was born on July 31, 1947 in Astoria, OR to Alfred Marshall IV and Jean Courtney. He served in the United States Navy for 20 years and retired as an E-7 Chief Petty Officer. On June 12, 1976, he married Eileen Warda and they spent 41 beautiful, loving years together before her passing on April 30, 2018. They raised two sons, Michael and Matthew.
Alfred had a passion for helping people in need and was always willing and ready to go the extra mile to meet people where they were at in life. His love for The Lord drove him to share the message of Jesus Christ with others. He actively served in his church and with The Gideons International: Ministry Behind Bars. Alfred’s son, Michael recalls, “Dad always read his bible every morning. He kept the faith and never wavered.” His son Matthew says, “When I think of dad I think of how hardworking he was. And I admire that he was a faithful, and faith-filled man.”
Alfred is preceded in death by his wife Eileen, his mother Jean, his father Alfred, and his brother Dale. He is survived by his sons and their wives; Michael (Jocelyn), Matthew (Whitney), his grandchildren, Elizabeth, David, Johanna, Jonathan, and Jacob, and by his sisters Delores and Melissa.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 11th, 2021 at Turlock Memorial Park at 10 o’clock a.m. in Turlock, CA. Flowers or donations may be sent to 3232 W Flagstaff Ave., Visalia, CA 93291. Viewing from 8:30 am to 9:30 am.
