Dale was born October 18, 1931, in Elk Creek, Missouri, to Dillard Roscoe Hale and Beulah (Bridges) Hale. The family later settled in central Iowa. He started working at a young age on his Uncle’s farm. Dale then got a job at Lennox Industries and retired from there 40 years later.
In 1952, Dale married Joan Brown. They had three children, Valorie, Vick, and Lisa. They later divorced.
Dale was a well known raccoon hunter and had the state champion Redbone hound. He trained and shoed many horses. He loved riding motorcycles and traveled the country on his Harley. He also enjoyed golf (getting a hole-in-one), and fishing. The family enjoyed many large fish fries.
Left to cherish his memory are his children; Valorie (John) Lang, Vick (Mary) Hale, and Lisa Harris, six Grandchildren; Chad, April, Logan, Kendra, Mindy, and Angela, and ten Great Grandchildren, his sister Dorothy Clark, and sister-in-law Marian Hale.
In death he joins his parents, brothers Dillard Hale and John Coldren, infant sister Doris Hale, and brother-in-law Carroll Clark, all in heaven.
