Steven Wallace Warden
Steven Wallace Warden, born May 8, 1945, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Wallace and Pearl (Steveson) Warden, returned to his heavenly father on Friday, August 13, 2021 in Omaha, NE. He grew up on a farm, graduating from Marshalltown High School, received his BS from Iowa State University, and MS with PhD work in Chemistry at MSU-Bozeman. Steve was a lifelong learner and teaching his passion, whether in the classroom or in personal conversation. His teaching career included Lake Mills, IA, North High School, Omaha, NE, and charter schools in San Francisco, CA, while also working in various chemical industry positions. He loved his family and time with them was most important. Steve loved singing, all things music, and his faith in God. He was a member of Faith Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
Preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by Yolanta (Kubik) Warden, their daughters Kristin and Katharine Warden, Omaha, NE; and Chad and Julie Warden, Garland, TX, previously with De Belknap; grandson Conner Warden Virginia Beach, VA; and sister Ruth (Paul) Few, Lincoln, NE. Visitation, Friday, August 27, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Memorial service, Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. both at Faith Christian Church (2201 S. 132nd St. Omaha, NE 68144) with private family burial Monday, August 30, 2021. In lieu of flowers, family will coordinate donations to the creation of a scholarship in Steve’s name.
