Kurt Douglas “Chug” Steuhm, 60, of Tama, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 18, 2021, at Premier Estates of Toledo under the care of Iowa River Hospice. A Visitation will be held Thursday, October 21, 2021, from 4-7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 22, 2021, starting at 6:30 PM at the Tama American Legion in Tama. Interment will be held at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery in rural Tama.
Survivors include his wife, Dawn, of Tama; stepdaughter, Cassandra (Arturo) Avila, of Toledo; stepson, Kyle Purk, of Tama; a grand-stepson; three special children in his life; siblings, Kevin (Sue) Steuhm, of Idaho Falls, ID, Ronald “Boo” (Nikki) Steuhm Jr., of Tama, and Renee (Randy) Burnes, of Marshalltown; brother-in-law, Martine (Samantha) Neave, of Tama; two aunts; an uncle from Tama; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend.
Memorials may be directed to Iowa River Hospice.
