A Funeral Service for Lloyd William Kern, Jr., 83, of State Center, formerly of Albion, were held on Monday, October 25, 2021, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Ricard officiating. He was laid to rest in Hillside Cemetery in State Center, Iowa, with pallbearers Brad Kern, Mark Kern, John Kern, Ryan Kern, Craig Crum, Grant Heatland, Richard Willson and John Abate.
Honorary pallbearers were Dan Maynard, Richard Chadwick, Gary Jay, Jim Loving, Roger Newland, Bob Houghton, Bob Springer and Dave Ewalt.
Along with family and friends groups from class of 1957-Albion, Trinity Lutheran Church, State Center; American Legion, State Center; Lincoln Valley Golf Members, UAW Local #893 and Iowa Valley Firefighters Association attended.
Mitchell Family Funeral Home was entrusted with the care of Lloyd and his family.
