Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 30th at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one-hour prior to the services. Born on August 25th, 1940, in Marshalltown, he was the son of Clay Webster and Chancie Marie (Godfrey) Warnell. He graduated from the Marshalltown High School, and soon enlisted to serve our country honorably in the United States Navy.

Gary was employed at Fisher Controls for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed outdoors activities: hunting, fishing, bowling, basketball and all kinds of sports.

Left to cherish his memory are his three children: Jeff (Sue) Warnell, of Bondurant, Jami (Alan) Smoldt, of Marshalltown, and Chris Warnell, of Ocala, FL; six grandchildren: Bryan Hebert, Shaun Warnell, Elizabeth Warnell, Allison Warnell, Drew Warnell, Anthony Warnell; four great grandchildren: Faith, Lily, Logan and Daxton and brother Terry (Trudy) Warnell as well as many other family and friends.

In death, Gary rejoined his parents Clay and Marie and brothers Richard and Larry.
