Janine Marie Farrar-Welp, 64
Janine Marie Farrar-Welp passed away November 18, 2022, in McKinney, Texas, at the age of 64. She was born to Jack Lee and Juneadair Louise (Schulte) Farrar on October 11, 1958, in Peoria, Illinois. Janine grew up in Streamwood, Illinois and graduated from Elgin High School in Elgin, Illinois. She received a bachelors degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Janine worked as a credit manager for Australian/New Zealand bank for 10 years. She was a project manager for Emerson until her retirement in 2018 after 23 years. Janine loved gardening, cooking, walking her dog and was an avid cyclist. She also spent time with Community Gardens.
Janine is survived by her daughter, Lauren Welp, of Marshalltown, Iowa; sisters: Denise McGillis, of Poluca, Illinois, and Jackie Finken, of Woodbridge, Virginia; nephew, Taylor McGillis; nieces, Kailee Heinecke, Callie, Emilie Finken, Caroline Finken, Julia Finke and a host of other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers-in-law, Scott McGillis and LTC. Paul Finken.
