Kenneth “Kenny” Menter, 79, of Marshalltown, IA passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Southridge Specialty Care in Marshalltown. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown. Anderson Funeral Homes of Marshalltown has been entrusted with the arrangements. Kenny was born on February 20, 1944, to Charles & Olga (Huber) Menter in Marshalltown, IA. He was one of four children. He attended school in Marshalltown, and decided to build his life there. Kenny was a jack of all trades having a lot of different jobs, which he enjoyed every one of. He had a lot of loves including the casino, horses, rodeos, stockcars, country music and being surrounded by family and friends.
Kenny is survived by two daughters; Kendra (Donnie) Preston and Rochelle (Carl Porter) Menter-Thomas, four grandchildren; Robert, RJ, Tahchelle and Kimberly, seven great grandchildren, one brother, Carroll Menter, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Blake Thomas, two siblings; George Menter and Rose Gale, and one niece, Tonya Menter.
