She was born March 22, 1944, in Marshalltown, Iowa to Albert H. and Ethel L. (Niedermann) Clar.

Survivors include three children: Crystal (Adam) Krolfifer, Goshen, Indiana, Julie (Rick) Richards, Palestine, Texas, and Gary (Jana) Rethmeier, Garland, Texas; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and siblings, Kenny (Jo) Clar and Irma Clar, both of Missouri.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Rethmeier.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 8, at 3 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2310 Eisenhower Dr. N., Goshen, Indiana.
