Lois Stubbs, 82, of Marshalltown, IA, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023, at Grandview Heights Rehab & Healthcare in Marshalltown. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 22, 2023, at Anderson Funeral Homes in Marshalltown. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to CIRSI in Marshalltown. Online condolences may be sent to www.andersonfhs.com.
Lois Lorraine Stubbs was born December 28, 1940, to Harold and Margie Stubbs in Marshalltown, IA. She attended school at Pleasant Hill in Marshalltown, where her parents were part founders. She resided on the family farm near Green Mountain for many years before moving to Marshalltown. She lived at the CIRSI group home for 25 years. In 2012, she became a resident at Grandview Heights Rehab & Healthcare, where she lived the remainder of her life.
Lois is survived by one sister-in-law, Mildred Stubbs, four nephews: Bud (Mary) Nelson, Andy Nelson, Kenneth Stubbs and Dennis Stubbs, four nieces: Cathy (Dan) Gipson, Lorraine Kearns, Joanne (Mike) Mostrom and Carolyn (Jeff) Himes, and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Marvin and John, sister, Deloris Nelson, brother-in-law, Arthur (Bud) Nelson, sister-in-law, Veleta Stubbs and one great niece.
