Dean Huisman, 71, of Wellsburg, IA, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 9, 2023, at Orchard Hill Church in Grundy Center, IA, with a luncheon to follow. A committal service with military honors will be held prior to the memorial service at 9:00 a.m. at the First Christian Reformed Church Cemetery in Wellsburg. Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Orchard Hill Church in Grundy Center. On the evening of June 4, due to cardiac arrest, Dean Huisman, of rural Wellsburg, went to be with his Lord and Savior.
Survivors left to cherish his memory are his wife of almost 49 years, Nancy, his sons: Justin (Kara) Huisman, of Treynor, Nathan Huisman, of Parkersburg, and Quentin (Ashley) Huisman, of Sioux Center, and 8 grandchildren. Other survivors include his sister Donna Kadner (James), of Conrad, and Darren (Ardene), of Orange City.
