Craig was born August 18, 1951, in Marshalltown, IA, to George and Mavis Nelson. Craig graduated from Gladbrook High School with the class of 1969. Craig graduated from Marshalltown Community College, University of Northern Iowa and Columbia College with the Travel School. Craig’s career in the Travel industry offered him many trips and vacations. Craig also enjoyed camping and spending time with friends. Craig was affectionately called “Uncle Craig Monster” by all his nieces and nephews who loved to be teased by their Uncle.

Craig is survived by his longtime care provider and friend, Donte Huebschmann, and Craig’s sisters, Beverly (Allan) Goodknight, Gena (Sherry) Nelson and his brother Kirk (Reina) Nelson.

Craig was preceded in death by his parents and his partner, Joseph Rowley.
