Dorothy M. Atkinson, 91, of Wichita, KS, formerly of Marshalltown, IA, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Larksfield Health Center in Wichita joining her late husband Glenn, in God’s palatial mansion. St. Peter did not need to check her credentials, as she was the most pious Catholic other than Mother Teresa.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 17, 2023, at St. Francis of Assisi – St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marshalltown. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery. Concluding the committal service, a luncheon will be held at the Elmwood Country Club. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to St. Francis of Assisi. The mass of Christian burial will be live-streamed on the Anderson Funeral Homes Facebook Page.
