Memorial services for Lynn will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Lynn Meyer was born on August 5, 1943, in Eldora, Iowa, to Odie W. and LaVine (Heronimus) Meyer. After graduating from Wellsburg High School, Lynn served his country in the United States Air Force. On June 6, 1964, he was united in marriage to Betty Kreimeyer in Ackley, Iowa. They were blessed with three children: Lisa, Shelley and Kristin. Lynn retired from Fisher Controls in 1999, after 35 plus years with the company. A proud moment in Lynn’s life was when he received the Fisher Quality Award in 1993 in St. Louis. Lynn was a member of the former Sonrise Wesleyan Church and was currently attending Mosaic Church in Marshalltown. Lynn very much enjoyed spending time with his family and friends; especially going on trips to Lake City, Minnesota, where he enjoyed camping, boating, and fishing. Lynn was an avid reader and also a very experienced wood worker, crafting many projects over the years.

Lynn is survived by his children: Lisa (Don) Rowley, of Marshalltown, and Shelley (Ken) Gratopp, of Marshalltown. Grandchildren: Kellianne (JJ) Torres, Joshua (Heather) Weuve, Addie (Brock) Pieters, Baylee (Colby) Bierman and Chase (Sydney Schmidt) Gratopp. He is also survived by great grandchildren: Paighton, Gage, Gloriana, Graylynn, Preston, Lincoln, Tate and Tucker as well as beloved dogs Buddy and Lacey.

Lynn is preceded in death by his wife: Betty; daughter: Kristin “Kit” Johnson and his parents: Odie and LaVine.
