June was born on June 27, 1947, to Elmer and Majel (Osten) Eilers in Marshalltown, IA. She was one of four children. June was born and raised in Gladbrook. She graduated Gladbrook High School in 1965. June then went to Marshalltown Community College, graduating in 1967 with a degree in accounting. June was united in marriage to Richard Klinefelter on November 27, 1971, at the Gladbrook Methodist Church. They were blessed with their daughter Rebecca soon after. June worked her early years in the office at the Central Iowa Bean Mill as a secretary. When Central Iowa Bean Mill merged with Garvey they were able to travel to numerous states due to Richards position where June worked as a secretary in all of the offices. While they were in Oklahoma, she was hired by the school system to do the accounting for non–certified personnel. A short time later they were transferred to northeast Iowa where she then worked for Palmer Memorial Hospital in West Union, IA, as a dietary supervisor for 20 years, retiring in 2010. June had many hobbies that included sewing, gardening and cooking. She regularly attended several lady coffee groups and was very active in all the churches where they resided. She was also active in choir and a part of various boards in the community.

June will be dearly missed by her husband, Richard of 51 years; daughter, Rebecca Klinefelter; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters–in–law.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
