A Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, August 27, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the old grocery store in Garwin under the direction of the family. Kathy Blanchard was born on October 31, 1951, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Howard and Francis Blanchard. On August 31, 1968, Kathy was united in marriage to Jeffrey “Andy” Anderson in Kirksville, Missouri. She had previously worked at the Brass Rail Cafe, Monty’s Tap and the Double L Bar. She also ran an in-home daycare and had worked at Meskwaki Casino in the Keno room. “Putt” enjoyed fishing, Elvis and was known for her famous fried chicken and tacos. She also cherished the family get-togethers and playing cards. She will be missed by her loving family and friends.

Kathy is survived by her children: Trisha (Brent) Williams, of Laurel, Travis Anderson, of Garwin, and Tammie (Chad) Anderson, of Garwin. Grandchildren: Tanner (Jamie) Williams, Aaron Williams, Lane (Jess) Williams, Taija (Marco) Rodriguez, Blane (Melody) Anderson, Bryce (Kaylah) Anderson, Baily Anderson and Brayden Anderson. Great-grandchildren: Leland, Luke, Rosie, Elijah, Abraham, Hayes, Henry, Piper, Monroe, Nova and Louis. She is also survived by her sister: Roberta “Bert” Bulman and in-laws: Sandy Fisher, Deb Tonche, Kathy Taylor and William Anderson along with her nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Kathy is preceded in death by her husband: Jeffrey “Andy;” parents: Howard and Francis; siblings: Karen Cohrt and Cliff Blanchard; mother and father-in-law: William and Geraldine Anderson and brother-in-law: Danny Anderson and her nieces, nephews and other family.
