Kimberly was born to Ken and Betty Nason on August 28, 1968, in Craig, CO. She attended West Marshall School District for the entirety of her elementary and secondary education. After graduating high school, Kimberly attended Evangel College in Springfield, MO, where she graduated with a degree in accounting in 1991. Kimberly subsequently worked in accounting departments at several private firms and government offices. Although always humble about her work, she was highly regarded by her colleagues as a dependable, hardworking and meticulous accountant. Kimberly met her future husband Mark Stubbolo at a concert in Kansas City. They began dating in 1995 and were married in October of the following year. After their marriage, Kimberly and Mark moved to Chesapeake, VA, and later to Salisbury, NC, before moving back to the Midwest, settling down in Belton, MO, in 1998. In 2009, the family moved to Olathe, KS, before finally moving north to set up a homestead at the Nason family home in Conrad in 2020. More than anything else, Kimberly cherished her family and her children were her pride and joy. Some of her happiest times were her years as a stay-at-home mom to her children Rick, Sarah and Michael.

An accomplished musician, Kimberly played the flute throughout her life. She performed in a variety of groups including the 1985 and 1986 Iowa All-State Band, the pit orchestra at Antioch Church in Overland Park, and an exclusive family musical group that only dared perform privately during Nason family Christmas gatherings. Kimberly was an instant friend to everyone she met. Her kindness and selflessness could make a friend of the hardest enemy and make anyone feel special. Her faith influenced every part of her life and she epitomized grace, humility and love. Romans 10:13 was especially close to her heart in recent days: “For whosever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Kimberly is survived by her husband of 26 years, Mark Stubbolo (Conrad, IA); children: Rick Stubbolo (Conrad, IA), Sarah Stubbolo (Overland Park, KS) and Michael Stubbolo (Camp Lejeune, NC); parents Ken and Betty Nason (Hubbard, IA); sister Angelita (David) Garth (Kirksville, MO); and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and sisters- and brothers-in-law. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
