Eugene Albert “Gene” Anderson, 89, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2023, at his home in Toledo under the care of his loving wife and Iowa River Hospice. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo. A Memorial Visitation will be held Monday, October 16, 2023, from 10-11 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with a Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Jill Mack officiating.
Survivors include by his wife of sixty-nine years, Carolyn, of Toledo; his daughter, Susan (Todd) Sawyer, of Toledo; his son, Steven (Kelly) Anderson, of AZ; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one sister, Joyce (Bernie) Patton, of Scottdale, AZ; two sisters-in-law, Gloria Anderson, of Johnston, and Janice Stille, of Wixom, MI; and several nieces and nephews.
