Larry “Monk” Shefchik, 84, of Toledo, passed away Friday, October 20, 2023, at his step-daughter’s home in Toledo under the care of UnityPoint Hospice. A family burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama, at a later date.
Survivors include his son, James Dean Shefchik; step-daughters: Delrae Hennessy, Tina Durnin and Adonica Hennessy, all of Toledo; two granddaughters and his beloved dog.
Memorials may be directed to Toledo Fire and EMS or to Tama County Humane Society.
