Sandra May, 76, of Marshalltown, IA, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023, at Accura Healthcare of Marshalltown. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 16, 2023, at Anderson Funeral Homes in Marshalltown. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home. Sandra was born October 7, 1947, to Harold and Alice (Bratteig) Denner in Marshalltown, IA. She graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1967. Sandra was united in marriage to Henry May on May 20, 1978, in Marshalltown. She was employed as a CNA for many nursing homes. Sandra was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the First United Church of Christ in Marshalltown. She enjoyed reading and crocheting. Sandra traveled around the country and loved to go south in the winters.
Sandra will be missed by two sisters; Pamela Ferren, of Marshalltown, Deborah Denner, of Largo, FL, a step son, Dwayne (Karine) May, a step daughter, Teresa (Rodney) Sanders, four step grandchildren: Anna, Aubry, Jordan, Zachery, and a step great granddaughter, Blakely.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a son in infancy, Kyle.
