Wayne was born on March 23, 1934, in Charter Oak, Iowa, the son of Carl and Hilda (Bruhn) Brockman. He graduated from Charter Oak High School and furthered his education for one year. He joined the United States Air Force after his brother talked him into it. He faithfully served his country, and was honorably discharged.

Wayne worked for Northwestern Railroad in Marshalltown for 33 years, two months and 10 days before he retired to Plano, Iowa. There, he spent his days cleaning his farm and chatting with people who fished his ponds. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and loved riding his lawnmower, mowing his 7 acres of land. Wayne was also a member of the Baptist Church in Seymour.

Left to honor Wayne’s memory is one brother, Ron (LeeAnn), and several loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Hilda, and one brother, Virtus (Ruth).

Per Wayne’s wishes, a graveside service will take place at 11:00AM, Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Brushy Cemetery in Plano, with Pastor Micaiah Stanley officiating.
