Laureen Youngbear Puentes
Laureen (Youngbear) Puentes, 55, of Montour, passed away, Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City. A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama. A Traditional Wake will be held Wednesday evening at the Bear Clan Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama.
Survivors include her husband, Reyes Puentes, of Montour; two sons, George Puentes (Ashlynne Roberts), of Tama, and Luis Puentes (Gabby Gaulke), of Dubuque; one daughter, Rollanda Puentes, of Toledo; one granddaughter in Dubuque and many nieces and nephews.
