Clifford “Dale” Moler

Clifford “Dale” Moler, 94, of Green Mountain, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown.

Funeral services for Dale will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Visitation will start prior to the funeral; beginning at 9:30 a.m. Memorials may be directed to either the Iowa River Hospice Home or to the Green Mountain United Church of Christ. Clifford “Dale” Moler was born on September 3, 1929. He was the son to Clifford “Kip” and Dorothy (Lieberum) Moler. Dale graduated from Green Mountain High School in 1946. On April 6, 1947, Dale was united in marriage to Wilma “Jean” Krough at the Green Mountain United Church of Christ. Together, they made their home in the rural Green Mountain area. Dale began farming early in his career then owned his own trucking and shelling company – “Dale Moler Trucking and Shelling” and later went back and worked on the farm. Dale was a member of the Green Mountain United Church of Christ and was on the board for Heart of Iowa Telephone, Green Mountain School District, Producers Bank Board and the church board. His hobbies consisted of working on the farm.

Dale is survived by his children: Cheryl Ketelsen, of Omaha, Nebraska, and Mark (Connie) Moler, of Marshalltown. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, along with his special friend: Hatti Groth, of Marshalltown.

Dale is preceded in death by his wife: Jean; parents: Kip and Dorothy and siblings: Joyce Rooker and Gary Moler.
