Dawn Marland
Dawn Valerie Renee Marland, 52, of Tama, passed away, Saturday, December 30, 2023, at her home under the care of Compassus Hospice. A Traditional Wake was held Sunday evening, December 31, 2023, at the Fox Clan Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama. Traditional Graveside Services was held Monday, January 1, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Meskwaki Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama with Michael Keahna as speaker.
Survivors include her daughters: Sherrie (Carlos) Mendoza and DeLarcy (Uriah) Wanatee; son, Hector (Abrielle) Ramirez Jr.; sisters, LaDonna Marland and Margaret Shuckahosee; brother, Dewey Bass; five grandkids.
