Marie Ellingson
Marie Gail (Speas) Ellingson, 88, of Marion, Iowa, was born on March 26, 1935, in Union, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence Raymond and Goldie Iola (Clark) Speas. She passed away with loving family nearby, on New Years Day, Monday, January 1, 2024, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa. The family will greet friends from 9 – 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, with a Memorial Service to begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Clark Cemetery in Central City, Iowa.
Marie is survived and lovingly remembered by her sons, Dean (Mayka) Ellingson, Dale (Diana) Ellingson and David (Carla) Ellingson; many grandchildren; brother, Jerrold “Jerry” Speas; sister, Joy Hartz and ex-husband, Orville Ellingson.
