John Fletcher
A Celebration of Life for John Fletcher, 63, of Humboldt, will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel. A time of the gathering for family and friends will be from 1:00 PM on Sunday until the time of service at the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
John passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge.
John Gill Fletcher, the son of Gill and Joan (Nielsen) Fletcher, was born October 7, 1960, in Fort Dodge. He graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High and finished his education at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids. John worked for Fort Dodge Machine and Supply as their parts manager and later for Rees Truck and Trailer.
He enjoyed camping, golfing and tinkering. John’s real talent was fabricating parts.
John is survived by his wife, Kim; three children: Kyle Fletcher, Alex Fletcher (Allison Cobb) and Julia Fletcher (Stuart Sutter); stepdaughter, Rachel Buss; his siblings: Julie (Mike) Schlesinger, Jim (Linda) Fletcher and Jill Vandegriff. He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother-in-law, Bruce Vandegriff.
