Kristine Bratteig
Kristine Bratteig, 67, of Marshalltown, IA passed away Friday, February 2, 2024, surrounded by friends and family at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Anderson Funeral Homes in Marshalltown. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 12, 2024, at Anderson Funeral Homes in Marshalltown. Interment will follow the service at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown. Kristine was born November 12, 1956, to Arnold and Anna (Weir) Bratteig in Marshalltown. She graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1975. Kristine was employed with Workforce Development in Marshalltown until her retirement in 2015. She enjoyed camping, playing board games, and cards with family. Kristine played darts and bowled with friends at local establishments. She loved spending time with her great niece and nephew. Kristine was known for her cooking, making and sharing dinner with family often.
Kristine will be missed by two brothers; Norman (Linda) Bratteig of Hayward, WI, Thomas (Carole) Bratteig of Palm Harbor, FL, a sister, Marjorie (LeRoy Lenz) Bratteig of Marshalltown, four nieces; Michelle, Jessica, Jennifer, Crystal, four nephews; Ryan (Courtney), Jonathon, Donald (Charlotte), Nolan, a great niece, Skylar, and a great nephew, Davian. She was preceded in death by her parents, five fur babies; Abby, Lacy, Biscuit, Daniel, and Loki.
