Born september 19, 1947 to Lawrence Wilson and Dorothy (Eldridge) Benson.

Mike was long time resident of Marshalltown. He graduated Marshalltown High School in 1965.

He served proudly in the US Army. Drafted at the age of 19. Where he served as a helicopter mechanic in Vietnam. Upon his return home, he continued his career as an auto machanic. In his free time, Mike was an avid fisherman. He was very proud to be an active member of the American Legion Post 122 in State Center, Iowa. Devoting much of his time to his fellow veterans.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy, his sister, Pat, and his father, Lawrence.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Melissa Wilson (Ralph), Michael Wilson Jr. (Kellie), Melanie Wilson (Perry). His grandchildren, Andrew (Ashley), Alex, Chase, Caleb, Paisley, Wyllo, and Huck. His siblings, Pam McCord and Nancy Eldridge.
