Services for Mike will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024, beginning at 10:00 A.M. at Journey Church in Marshalltown. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Carol Smolik; his son, Michael Smolik and step-daughters, Edie (David) Glenn and Rae Ann Pierce; two step-grandchildren; his mother, Jane Smolik; his siblings, Sheryl Smolik, Susan (Neal) Pinkston and Mary (Brett) Smolik-Brown; numerous nieces and nephews and his furry four-legged companion.
