Joyce Elaine Van Wyk, 87, of Prairie City, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Taylor House in Des Moines. Per Joyce’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services. The daughter of Walter and Margaret (Marshall) McAllister, Joyce was born on November 14, 1936. Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Melissa Kain (Mike Pritchard), Renita (Christopher) Veverka and Deanna (Noel) Brown; grandchildren: Amber (Jon) Scearcy, Jordan (Alivia) Kain, Kinze (Clint) Pieper, Kylee (Caleb) Coale, Matt (Kelly) Cockerton, Austin (Ryanne Harris) Brown, Derek Brown and 10 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband Howard, her parents, brother Loren Mc Allister and dog Lily.
