Evan Krueger
Evan Joseph Krueger, 12 years old, of Haverhill, Iowa, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024, in the comfort of his home under the care of UnityPoint Hospice. Much like Iron Man, the superhero he loved and adored, he fought hard until the end of his battle against a rare form of treatment-related leukemia and brain cancer since beginning his battle in 2019. Evan participated in the program “Gift From A Child” in coordination with The Children's Hospital at the University of Iowa. Evan's donations were sent to laboratories across the country, including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, as well as the Children's Brain Tumor Network.

Evan was born on February 20, 2012, in Grand Island, Nebraska. He was the youngest of three children blessed to Matthew and Dana (Robertson) Krueger. He loved all the things a 12-year-old boy loves like gaming (especially playing Minecraft for hours and hours), RC cars, Legos, and of course, Iron Man. He also loved spending time with his dad doing everything from I.T. to tinkering in the garage as “gearheads.” But most of all, Evan enjoyed spending time with his family whenever possible.
Evan will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him, including his parents Matthew and Dana; his sisters: Kaylee and Paige; his grandmas: Gail Krueger and Donna Robertson; his aunts and uncles, including Dan and Andrea Kreuger and Jessica Robertson; and all of his cousins.
