He is survived by his father, Donald Plaehn; his children: Alexandria (Brandon) Sisson, Elijah Plaehn and Isaac Plaehn; two grandchildren; siblings, Michael Plaehn, of Gladbrook, and Michelle Plaehn, of Pella.
