Leslyee George
Leslyee Renee George, 65, of Le Grand, IA, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Unity Point Health Marshalltown, IA. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 12, 2024, at Anderson Funeral Homes in Marshalltown. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until the time of the services. Leslyee was born on October 22, 1958, in Marshalltown, IA to William and Betty (Seaver) Gile. A 1977 graduate of Marshalltown High School, Leslyee was a longtime Le Grand resident working almost 24 years at the Marshall County Clerk of Court.
Her favorite hobby was decorating for Halloween and handing out candy to trick or treaters of all ages. She never met a battery-operated screaming witch she didn’t like. Leslyee was an avid reader, animal lover, an Elton John fanatic and loved romantic comedies with a happy ending.
She is survived by her two sons: Bill (Sarah) George, and Ryne (Meg) George, four grandchildren: Jaylen, Lilly, William, and Natalie; one great grandchild Ka’Von; sister Linda Croskey, and brother William (Marilyn) Gile.
Leslyee was preceded in death by her parents.
