Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Visitation will be one-hour prior. He will be laid to rest in the Rock Island National Cemetery in a graveside service at noon on Friday, May 10. Left to cherish his memory from his first marriage are his daughters Julie A. Jones, of Las Vegas, Vickie (Rick) Stoneking, of Milan, IL, and a grandson in Colorado. He was blessed with step children from his second marriage, Mark (Sandy) Goodman, of Liscomb, Connie Day & Gil, of Colorado, Cindy (Mark) Lynch, of Grundy Center, five grandchildren and many great grandchildren who he dearly loved, as well as many friends and parishioners that remember him well.
