Marlene Morgan
Marlene Rae Morgan “Moonittega,” 79, of Tama, passed away Monday, May 6, 2024, at Birkwood Village of Tama/Toledo. A Traditional Wake was held Tuesday evening, May 7, 2024, at the Fox Clan Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama. Traditional Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Morgan Cemetery on the Settlement.
Survivors include her sons, Michael Sanache, of Tama, Gerald Sanache, of Tama, Marland (Sheila) Sanache, of Tama; adopted sister, Aldean Bear; adopted children: Rhiannon Walker, Allison Lasley, Anton Pushetonequa, Charlie Seymour, Jessica and Elliot Funmaker and Bruce Mauskemo; sister, Loretta Begay, of Phoenix, AZ; brothers, Gene Morgan, of Tama, Adrian Pushetonequa, of Tama; 21 grandchildren; one great-grandkids and many more; son-in-law, Pedro Perez; stepdaughter, Devonna Thomas and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
