He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lisa Samora; his children: Richard “Richie” Samora, of South Carolina, and Stevie Rae Lavender, of Marshalltown, IA; his 11 grandchildren; his sisters: Deborah Griggs, Patricia Samora and Janice Samora; his adoptive mother Frances Crookes and adoptive brothers, Rick and Terry Crookes.
