Visitation will be held on July 16th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, followed by a Vigil Service, at Anderson Funeral Homes in Marshalltown, IA. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 AM on July 17th at St. Henry Catholic Church in Marshalltown, followed by a luncheon at the church.

Ethel requested that her service be a celebration of her life and her hope in Christ, and she wished for everyone to wear bright colors.

Ethel had a tradition that instead of gifts at Christmas, she asked her children and grandchildren to give her a card detailing how they had volunteered their time, talent, or treasure over the past year. In that same spirit, she asks that in lieu of flowers, everyone volunteer or donate to the charity of their choice.

Ethel's legacy of love, service, and joy will be remembered by all who knew her.

Ethel is survived by her loving husband, Ron; sisters Jan (Ben) Sitter and Lynne (Tom) Christen; brother-in-law Peter (Ramona) Keeley; her children: Patrick (Kristie) Keeley, Ryan (Emily) Keeley and Janine (Nate) McCormick; her three beloved grandchildren and many nieces and nephews
