Rose Rosas Weston
Rose Rosas Weston (Luz A. Rosas), age 68 formerly of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away Wednesday August 7th, 2024 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa. Rose was born in PayPay, Deanbantayan, Cebu on December 13th 1955 and spent the early part of her life in the Philippines before moving to the United States. Rose spent a lot of time traveling the world and has seen many places, she had lived in numerous states and countries, some including Florida, Alaska, Georgia, Massachusetts, and Sicily. She enjoyed spending time in the garden and was very proud of the home she built and worked on in Marshalltown. Rose loved going to BINGO at Meskwaki Casino. Rose loved her family dearly, having many that are still home in the Philippines and stayed connected with them through the years. Rose had many occupations in her life before becoming ill and being unable to work.
Rose is preceded in death by her father, Dioscoro Rosas, and two sisters, Baby Rosas and Lory Dela Pieza. She is survived by her mother, Raymunda Rosas, two sisters, Amy (Corey) Partridge and Alimaya De Guzman, and two brothers Lito Rosas and Matheo Rosas, two sons, Ronald (Kayla) Tempel, and Roland (Mary) Tempel, four grandchildren, Alex Tempel, Rylee Tempel, Grayson Tempel, and Mila Tempel.
A Celebration of Life will be determined at a later date.
