Shannon Peters
Shannon Peters, 58, of Tama, passed away Friday, September 6, 2024, at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. A Traditional Wake was held Sunday, September 8, 2024, at the Eagle Clan Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama. Traditional Graveside Services will be held Monday, September 9, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Meskwaki Cemetery on the Settlement.
Survivors include his children: Joanna Peters, of Grandview, MO, Melissa (Wesley) Latcham, of Brooklyn Park, MN, Sonya Peters, of Oakland, CA, Andrew Peters, of Montour, and Veronica Peters, of Ames; brother, Sean Peters, of CA; half-brothers: Stephen (Patsy) Ponder, Michael (Nikki) Erickson and Kevin (Theresa) Peters.
Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
