Sharon (Kapayou) Mauskemo
Sharon Kay (Kapayou) Mauskemo, 79, of Tama, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at UnityPoint Health-Grinnell Regional Medical Center. A Traditional Wake was held Wednesday Evening, September 4, 2024, at the Fox Clan Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama. Traditional Graveside Services will be held Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Morgan Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama.
Survivors include sons, Todd Mauskemo, of Tama, and Terry Kapayou; daughter, Kelly Surgeon, of Ottumwa; sister, Wanda Kapayou, of Des Moines; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo is assisting the family with the arrangements.
