Steve is survived by his wife, Pam; sister, Ardis Wellman; half-brothers Darrell (Eddi) Sickle, Don (Naomi) Hanson, Jon (Debbie) Aske, and Jan Markison; his three children: Cameron (Raegan) Schultz, Brooke (Greg) Schultz, and Sorell (Drew) Elbert and his five grandchildren.

A memorial will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024, starting at 1 p.m. at the Cedar Falls Rotary Preserve in Cedar Falls, Iowa. In lieu of flowers and donations, the family asks that you do a random act of kindness in Steve’s honor.
