Per the wishes of Kent and his family, cremation rites were accorded. A Celebration of Life has been scheduled for Saturday, March 29 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at Mitchell Family Funeral Home, 1209 Iowa Avenue West, Marshalltown, Iowa. Full military honors will be presented following the service by the combined VFW/American Legion Honor Guard of the surrounding area. Family and friends are invited to attend a luncheon at the American Legion Golf Course in Marshalltown, Iowa starting at 12:30 P.M. He is survived by his wife, Dawn (Walstrom) Keeler; his children: Ashley (Eddie) Hofer, of Cedar Rapids, IA, Kolby Keeler, of Kabetogama, MN, McKaylea (Cory) Johnson, of Marshalltown, IA, Spencer (Ellie) Slade, of Milaca, MN, and Parker Slade, also of Milaca, MN; his five grandchildren; his father Corwin F. Keeler; his siblings: Kendra Nestrud, of Marshalltown, IA, Kim (Jon) McKeever, of Marshalltown, IA, and Kristy Keeler, of Des Moines, IA; various other relatives and his service dog.
